Prince Albert Parkland Health Region Volunteer Service Opportunities for the week of March 20, 2017

The Volunteer Services Department of the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region is in need of caring, compassionate and committed volunteers to fulfill the following service positions:

Visiting Neighbour Volunteer

To visit a client in their home on a regular basis, to develop friendship and establish a warm, caring relationship to improve the client’s quality of life.

Shifts: As needed

Patient Information (Greeter) – Victoria Hospital

Duties include directing patients and visitors to the various departments for treatments, tests, x-rays, or to other destinations in the hospital.

Shifts: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. or 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. Monday – Friday

Gail’s Brigade – Victoria Hospital

Volunteers offer friendship, companionship and provide support for Palliative patients. Duties may include nail care, hand or foot massages, shaves, or haircuts/styling.

Shifts: 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. (Flexible) Monday – Friday, once per week.

Lab Services Center – Prince Albert

Volunteer greeters assist patients and family members arriving for tests at the center in the South Hill Mall. These volunteers put patients at ease and ensure they are in the proper location to be called for their tests.

 Shifts: 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Monday – Friday: Once per week.
