Prince Albert Parkland Health Region Volunteer Service Opportunities for the week of March 13, 2017

The Volunteer Services Department of the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region is in need of caring, compassionate and committed volunteers to fulfill the following service positions:

Patient Information (Greeter) – Victoria Hospital

Duties include directing patients and visitors to the various departments for treatments, tests, x-rays, or to other destinations in the hospital.

Shifts: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. or 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday

Cuddling & Play Therapy, Pediatric Ward – Victoria Hospital

Duties include cuddling lonesome children, assisting with play activities, reading, playing games, assisting with snacks, feeding children, etc.

Shifts: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Monday to Sunday: once or twice per week.

Pet Therapy – All Long Term Care Facilities

Volunteers with well-trained, friendly pets may visit the residents at the Nursing Homes. The pets must meet the necessary requirements prior to visiting.

Shifts: Once or twice per week: Flexible hours.
