Ballyhooley “Irish Celebration”

Date: March 18th

When: 7:30PM

Balleyhooley is a celebration of traditional and new music, with a focus on keeping the tradition of Irish music alive. The show incorporates nine musicians plus dancers, in a wonderful fusion of musical genres from the Irish music family, such as eastern European Gypsy and the various forms of modern Celtic music from around the world. The inventive arrangements and grooves steer the Irish acoustic songs into surprising new territory. Celtic classics are enhanced with electric guitar, bass, and drums, bringing songs that have stood the test of time into the new millenium. Combine that with thunderous bodhrán rhythms, drumkit, and the traditional Irish stepdancing of the River City Reelin’ Rockettes and the audience finds themselves stomping along to a real Ballyhooley.
