The rumours are true! The SACL has been working on a new website and now it’s finally done and viewable at www.sacl.org. The updated look and intuitive user-friendly design will allow all SACL members and online visitors to have better access to information about all of the SACL’s initiatives, services, upcoming events, and news.

*Note: Some parts of the site are still a work-in-progress. Updates are on-going.

Another Successful Moms’ Retreat

“The moms’ retreat empowers me to dig deep within when I feel like there is nothing left and then I find an inner strength I never knew existed.”
-Moms’ Retreat Participant

Forty-four Moms from all across Saskatchewan came together for a weekend of support, love, sharing, compassion and caring. Facilitated by Family Network member Lynn Schaan, the retreat provides moms who have a son and/or daughter with an intellectual disability a chance to be surrounded and supported by other moms who are living parallel lives. Educational presentations on self-care, advocacy, and RDSP’s were provided. The moms also enjoyed fun activities such as a paint event, dinner out, and sharing circles.
