Healing Haven Wildlife Rescue is in need of donations and is collecting through CanadaHelps.org.

Healing Haven Wildlife Rescue (HHWR) is a non-profit wildlife rehabilitation facility operating out of Dorintosh, Saskatchewan.

Despite its humble beginnings and limited resources HHWR has grown into a unique and capable rehabilitation facility that operates year-round responding to any and all wildlife-related incidents.

In addition to Raptors, Corvids, Song Birds, Ungulates, and other Mammals, HHWR is the one and only Black Bear rehabilitation facility in all of Saskatchewan. We have successfully rehabilitated and released eight black bears to the wild and currently there are two more black bear cubs in our care waiting to be released once they are deemed capable of reentering the wild.

While the successes of HHWR speak for themselves, the future of Black Bear rehabilitation in this province is in your hands.

In 2015 we broke ground and began construction on our new 4.5 acre Black Bear enclosure.

In order to make this new bear enclosure fully operational we are humbly asking for your assistance.

Wildlife rehabilitation is an expensive endeavor with significant costs attached to construction and maintenance. These costs are solely generated through fundraising and donations which allows the volunteers at HHWR to keep things running smoothly. Summer is our busiest season and requires a substantial financial commitment. The remaining expense of the new black bear enclosure alone is over $8,000.

We would like to continue to offer a safe haven to northwest Saskatchewan’s injured and orphaned wildlife, but we need your help. Please consider donating to this worthy cause. Any amount is greatly appreciated and will allow us to continue on with our mission to successfully rescue, rehabilitate and release wildlife in need of care.

Please help us, help wildlife!
