It is amazing what a weekly “Casual Dress Day” can accomplish.

Employees at the Sasktel Store located in the Gateway Mall in Prince Albert used the funds they raised to help purchase a Broswlow Advance Care Cart for the Pediatric Unit (Children’s Ward) at the Victoria Regional Hospital.

The cart is colour coded to represent various children’s sizes. Each colour coded drawer contains medications and medical equipment specific to the child’s size.  The cart is part of a commitment to patient safety and delivering the best possible patient care.

Jane Antoine, Nursing Unit Manager – Pediatrics said, “Our staff our so excited about getting this Advanced Care Cart it ties in perfectly with our programs and care practices”.

On each Casual Dress Day employees at the Sasktel Store made a donation and they also sold “Sasktel Little Red Bags”. Their combined effort raised $1,911.  The hope was to raise $2,000 to help purchase the Advanced Care Cart.  When their Tier 2 manager, Jason Tiller, saw the results he personally donated $89.00 to reach the $2,000 goal.
