To those organizations who have employees or volunteers trained in ASIST. Please pass this email on to the ASIST people and encourage them to contact me if they are able to attend.

Hello all ASIST trained people. There is a local grassroots group who are planning to show the movie, To Save A Life, at the E A Rawlinson center on Jan 15 and 16, 2011.

The group is very interested in having support people in place for those people watching the movie on those dates.

The movie itself touches on many issues people face on a regular basis, including suicide. The group showing the movie is passionate about utilizing the movie to start a conversation amongst the viewers regarding the issues, especially suicide.

We are asking all people who have been trained in ASIST to volunteer on either, one, or both nights to be available in the event an individual needs to talk about their issues. It is our hope that we can show people that help is available, that we do care and that  they are not alone.

Please feel free to contact me by email, pacmha@sasktel.net if you are available to help with this worthwhile project.
