CPR Classes Available – Learn How to Save a Life

Nov 12, 2010 | 8:58 AM

You’re enjoying a cup of coffee at your favourite local coffee shop. The next thing you notice, the person at a table close to you collapses.

You call for help but no one knows what to do.

Do you know what to do?

Taking a CPR and First Aid Class is an easy way to help you and others in an emergency. Doing something rather than nothing can make a bigger difference than you may think. CPR and First Aid will give you the knowledge of how to prevent injuries from occurring as well as risk factors regarding heart disease and strokes.

It will also give you the basic skills to treat an injury or medical emergency which  could prevent it from getting worse and protecting life until an ambulance arrives.

When someone’s heart stops, the brain tissues will start to die within the first two minutes. Having the knowledge of how to recognize this when it happens and the skills to do CPR can maintain the body circulation and help prevent the brain from dying.

CPR does not start the heart. However, taking the CPR course with the Automated External Debirillator will help.

Upcoming First Aid and CPR classes start November 25th and Friday November 26th; Saturday December 4 and Sunday, December 5.
