Beard Derby Final Judging:
Prince Albert Brewing Company is the place to go be a part of the Winter Festival since its inception, the Beard Derby is where men are men, and facial hair is king! Come and see professional and amateur beard growers strut their stuff for the judges on Sunday, Feb. 14th.

The Voice of Prince Albert will be at Plaza 88
 This showcase of youth talent has a format based loosely on the popular TV show of the same name. An audition was held and 12 talented young people were selected. For the past several weeks they have worked with three “coaches” to polish their skills. Their hard work culminates in a final show on Saturday, Feb. 20 at Plaza 88, where all the contestants will perform and the winner will be crowned.

Children’s Carnival: will be at the Alfred Jenkins Field House Gym.
 Bring the kids for a day of fun at the Alfred Jenkins Field House. Keep warm indoors, and play all day in the bouncy castle. Activities for kids of all ages, generously provided with the assistance of Sylvan Learning Centre. Feb.

Sleigh Rides are at the Alfred Jenkins Field House
Enjoy a ride in a horse drawn sleigh in the fields surrounding the Alfred Jenkins Field House. This event is free with your Winter Festival Button.

Sled Dog Races:
One of the most popular events over the past fifty years, the sled dog races will start and finish in the field just west of the Alfred Jenkins Field House on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 20 & 21.

King Trapper:
Situated next to the Alfred Jenkins Field House, the King Trapper stage is host to a competition featuring traditional trapping skills. Buckskin Parade, animal calls, woodcutting and much more. Feb. 20 & 21.

Central Station at Plaza 88
On Friday Feb. 19, for one night only, Plaza 88 will turn into Central Station, the place to party in Prince Albert! Six bands, three stages, food by Lone Wolf Catering, and plenty of adult beverages guarantee that the dancing and good times will carry into the wee hours of the morning.

Fish Fry at the Alfred Jenkins Field House Enjoy freshly caught Saskatchewan Northern Pike, battered and deep fried to perfection along with a plate of fries. Friday, Feb. 19, 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday Feb. 20 & 21, 12:00 – 2:00 pm in the big tent just outside the south doors.

Scouts Parade, Bonfire and Fireworks at the Alfred Jenkins Field House
A long standing tradition, the outdoor events kick off on Friday, Feb. 19 at 7:00 pm with the Boy Scouts’ Torchlight Parade, followed by a huge bonfire of used Christmas trees. Enjoy a free cup of steaming hot chocolate as you watch the Fireworks at 8:00 pm.

Snow Sculptures are at various locations in the city.
Artists from Prince Albert and beyond show off their snow-sculpting skills as huge blocks of snow are magically transformed into works of art. (snow permitting)

Jigging Contest will be at the EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts
Another perennial favorite, the jigging contest attracts dancers and spectators from Prince Albert and beyond. The contest takes place at 2:00 pm on Monday, Feb. 15

The Fiddle Show will be at the EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts at 7:00 February 16th. Tickets are $15 and a Winter Festival Button. Tickets are available at the box office.

Northern Spirits Youth Talent Showcase will be at the P.A. Exhibition Centre
 A weekend long workshop for talented Northern Saskatchewan Youth culminates in a show on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 1:00 pm. The show features youth in every aspect of the performance, including emcees, stagehands, producers and performers.

Classic Country North Show: will be at the E.A Rawlinson Centre for the Arts
Something old, something new….this year the ever-popular Country North Show returns to its roots with an all classic format, but with a new venue at the Rawlinson Centre. Enjoy some of the best talent that Prince Albert and area has to offer in a great theatre setting. Feb. 17th & 18th. Yee Haw!!

Gospel Music Show will be at Plaza 88
There’s no better way to spend a Sunday evening than listening to good old standards sung by some of Prince Albert’s finest gospel musicians. Come join us for an evening of sacred music in a beautiful church setting. Feb. 21 at 7:00 pm.
