Frieze Carpet

April 17, 2018 - 10:00am

Frieze carpet is a twist carpet that is a very popular trend today and is a modern version of yesterdays shag.

It is like the old shag, however, rakes are not required. The new "shag" has longer and skinnier fibers then old shag. Frieze is not as dense as textured saxony but is very durable due to the twist. (Textured Saxony is a solid color that is manufactured with fibers that are kinked and running in multiple directions that helps to hide the footprints)

ROUTINE VACUUMING

The most important maintenance procedure is the removal of dry soil by vacuuming. For best results, change vacuum bags before they become two-thirds full. Do not let your carpet become heavily soiled before vacuuming. A routine vacuuming is highly recommended as to keep soil loads to a minimum, higher traffic areas may require vacuuming 2-3 times weekly.

A properly finished and maintained wood floor does not accumulate hidden soil or odorous compounds. You also should clean your floors periodically with a professional wood floor cleaning product recommended by a wood flooring professional.
