Tina Fey’s Take on Beauty

Tina Fey turns 48 this week. I wondered if she had any beauty secrets. What I got was a good laugh and a great perspective.

Here’s Tina Fey’s take on the current beauty ideal: “Now every girl is expected to have Caucasian blue eyes, full Spnish lips, a classic button nose, hairless Asisan skin with a California tan, a Jamaican dance hall ass, the hips of a nine year old boy, the arms of Michelle Obama. The only person who comes close to achieving this is Kim Kardashian, who was made by Russian scientists to sabotage our athletes.”

There was my good laugh which is good for my skin, by the way. Thank you, Tina Fey.

But wait. There’s more.

Tina Fey’s take on accepting yourself: “I wouldn’t trade the small thin lipped mouth that makes me resemble my nephew. I wouldn’t even trade the acne scar on my right cheek because that recurring zit spent more time with me in college than any boy ever did.”

There was a great perspective.
