New Year Detox for Face, Body and Life

Jan 2, 2018 | 3:09 PM

If you’re like me, despite the best of intentions, you kind of overdid it during the last ten days.

A detox for your body, your face and your life might be in order.

You might be feeling bad after indulging and running yourself ragged. You ate stuff you never eat and way too much of it, you drank stuff you never drink and, horror of all horrors, you slept in your makeup. You can do a detox. Not just for your body, a detox can benefit the look of your skin and even your life!

How to detox the body:  stop the madness.

It’s time to cut down on the sugar, salt, fats, starches and booze. How? Focus on plants and animals.  Eat recognizable fruit and vegetables and fruit leather doesn’t count. Fruit mashed up in a plastic cup with a peel off lid doesn’t count. Eat fruits and vegetables that look like they’ve just been pulled off a plant or out of the ground. Eat things that run or swim or fly. Cut down on the beef; the things that swim and fly are lower in the bad fats. While you’re at it, cut down on the booze and drink more water. If you don’t like water, boil it and steep some plants in it. That’s what tea is. Most herbal teas are good for you and they taste great.

See? So easy to detox the body and your skin is going to look better as well.

If you want more detox for your skin, after sleeping in your makeup and forgetting all about your night time skincare products, new technology at Results can do the trick. I custom blend a preparation that goes on your skin to draw out debris and skin oils. You rest under a dome with great detoxifying benefits. It’s relaxing, easy and affordable and it’s a great way to clean up skin after a bender, be it food, booze or both.

How do you detoxify your life?

Many people make resolutions for basically that reason; they want to be healthier than before. Resolutions can be tough. If we ‘break’ them, we feel like a failure. Instead, try some generalized guidelines. These encourage small and sporadic changes which can slowly become better habits. One for me is to practice self care a little more often. Self care is anything that makes us healthier. This isn’t just physical. This means healthier mentally, emotionally, physically, socially, spiritually – even financially.

I wish you health, peace and wealth in 2018.
