A Closure, A Move and Being Thankful

October 2nd was one month since the spa staff and I were locked out downtown. It’s one week away from Thanksgiving. As I look back on September, I have so much to be thankful for.

Thank you, Stephanie. You let me know that we were locked out while you were still standing on the sidewalk, trying to fit your key in the lock.

Thank you, Doug and David. You and your building Manager, Franklin, were helpful and cooperative in letting me get all of my equipment and stock out of your building.

Thank you, Quentin. I couldn’t have done that move without you taking a day off from work.

Thank you, Jodi. More than eight years ago, we talked about me renting in the Salon Spa you wanted to open. You took me in right away, even though your business wasn’t near ready.

Thank you to Jodi’s hubby, Robert. You burned the midnight oil several nights and took time away from your own business, Wheatland Tire and Auto, to get my room ready, to minimize the time I was out of commission.

Thank you to my clients. Wow.  I’m getting a little misty eyed, thinking of how many of you rallied – made appointments straight away, asked for your products. You have come into Jodi’s Salon Spa while it is still unfolding and you have been supportive and excited; you’ve eased my worries and fears.

Someone once said to me that we stop learning only when they throw dirt on us. I liked that. Lately, I have learned that happiness is wanting what you have.  I have it good. I’m surrounded with supportive, kind, and helpful people. I am renting in a brand new, stunning, full service Salon Spa. I am blessed. I am thankful. Thank you.
