Looking Back on Six Beautiful Years
Six years ago, unsure and uncertain of how our little laser clinic would be received, Quentin and I borrowed against our own home and bought a tiny house in Prince Albert’s downtown, on a quiet residential street. Our thought was, if the community didn’t respond, we could quietly shut the doors, sell off the equipment and sell that little house.
My husband did boatloads of work to that little house, to restore it to its rightful glory. For months, he slaved in there after work, before work, and on every day off. We were scared to sign a long term commercial lease and honestly, couldn’t afford one. The mortgage rate on that little house was a third of the going lease rates at the time.
My husband’s hard work paid off.
We got many compliments on the little house from clients. Clients even came to call it “the little house” affectionately when they’d call me on my personal cell to make appointments. “Are you at the little house right now?” was a common question.
