Face Massage for Glowing Younger Skin

Apr 11, 2013 | 9:14 AM

Everyone loves a good massage. Sore back muscles and tension in the shoulders just melts away. Your face would also love a massage. You can get clearer skin, a youthful healthy glow, and a younger looking face in exchange for your efforts.

Your skin moisturizes itself by producing oil called sebum. The closest thing to human sebum is jojoba oil. That’s why it’s such a common ingredient in skin and hair products. Jojoba oil permeates the skin’s pores better than any other oil.

All skin types can benefit from an oil massage. Dry skin gets moisturized. Oily skin gets better balanced. Sensitive skin calms down. The anti aging benefits are there as well. Massage tones muscles. An oil massage is like a little facelift.

Here’s how: Wash your hands. Wash your face and pat dry. If you have longer hair, get it out of the way and off your face. Apply some room temperature jojoba oil to your finger tips. Massage slowly and with very little pressure in an upwards motion. Massage from underneath the jawline all the way up to the hairline, in short, slow strokes. Remember to apply very little pressure.
