Microcurrent Lifts and Firms Face at Home

Mar 7, 2013 | 11:11 AM

Microcurrent has been used by physiotherapists for decades in muscle re-education. It’s been used for patients recovering from car accidents and sports injuries and work related traumas. In the past decade, someone had a good question: “Why aren’t we using this on our faces to look younger?” It’s true. Your facial muscles sag. It makes us look tired or even angry. And old. Remember, your face is the only part of the body where the skin and muscles are attached. That’s why we can make facial expressions. So when those facial muscles sag, your skin goes with them.

You can get in office microcurrent treatments – but not from me. Since it’s muscle we’re lifting and firming, you’re going to want to do it regularly. One expensive treatment by a professional is just not going to do it. Ever go to the gym and lift weights one time? What did that get you? To lift that face, you need a home device so you can do it regularly – and inexpensively – on whatever schedule works best for you.

The best home device for microcurrent that I have found is the Nuface Classic. Nuface has other models but the Classic is the best. It’s proven to work. It’s easy to hold and use. You use it, it works.

Before you buy a home device, make sure you get a free demonstration. For any home beauty device to be effective you’ve got to be sure you are using it right. Often instructional dvds are more about good looking production values and less about the information that an experienced operator can give you.
