American Pie: Reunion

Apr 9, 2012 | 7:39 AM

The gang is all back together for their high school reunion. “American Pie:reunion” picks up where the other ones left off. I highly recommend you watch the others tho before going to see this movie, otherwise you won't appreciate the jokes as much.

Typically the problem with sequels is that they just recycle jokes. American Pie Reunion provides lots of new laughs. Jim and Michelle are having marital problems. Jim's dad, played by Eugene Levy, is venturing back into the world of dating and relies on the help of his son. Stifler still hasn't quite grown up and Finch is looking to find true love.

I really enjoyed the fact that all of the original cast is in this movie. Some of them have been augmented a bit(Tara Reid) but others have not changed at all(the shermanator). Even Shannon Elizabeth finds some time out of her busy schedule to show up at the reunion….ummm what movie was she last in? I also really like the fact that many of the 90s rock songs that added to the original movie are also included in this soundtrack. If I have one critique it would be that at times this movie seems to play like a highlight reel. The characters spend a lot of time reminiscing on the days when they were young.

This movie will definitely have you laughing all the way through, provided of course you can stomach some of the typical “American pie” humor.
