When it comes to cost, hockey gets a bum rap

Technical Director, Prince Albert Minor Hockey

I’m really tired of hearing how Hockey is soooo expensive, granted it isn’t free to play, but let’s do some comparisons.

Registration for a 10-year-old hockey player is roughly $450 for the season.
Registration for a 10 year old, who plays House League and Celtic soccer is more
Registration for a 10 year old in Tea Kwondo is more.
And check the fees charged for dance.

As for equipment, my son this year needed a new visor, new hockey pants, a new stick and hockey socks, cost $92.
My Grandson needed new Soccer cleats, new shin pads and new soccer socks, cost $85.
Not much difference.
