Best Furniture & Home Décor: Country Comfort Bedrooms & Fine Furniture
Darryl and Laurie Nyirfa, owners of Country Comfort Bedrooms & Fine Furniture, are very enthusiastic about their love for Canadian Made solid wood furniture. Their store has been in business since 1986, and recently moved to a 10,000 sq foot showroom in beautiful downtown Prince Albert.
When stepping into their store, you will be surprised to find so many solid wood bedroom and dining suites available to look at to experience feel and to even take home that day. With over 25 bedroom sets and over 30 dining sets, one of the best features of Country Comfort Bedrooms is that you can actually experience the furniture. This is not a catalog-order store, and is certainly not a big-box store. Darryl & Laurie are owners that work in the store every day, and they know their products well.
Canadian Made solid wood furniture is the focus, and the selection is enormous. Darryl and Laurie work with suppliers from Toronto, Vancouver, and Winnipeg that focus on Canadian made products and styles. They also travel to tradeshows to see what other styles are trending and what the newest features are. One of the things about wood furniture is that you are paying for quality and that it will last throughout the generations. “Often, people think that solid wood is far too expensive, but that just isn’t the case.” Darryl says. “The solid wood pieces will outlast several generations of plastic or chipboard furniture, making them far more reasonable in the long run. The long run is key with solid wood – taking care of the pieces is just as important, we will provide that guidance with the experience and expertise to help you be sure your wood pieces last for years and look amazing.” They also carry specialty natural products for wood, and also recommend gentle cleaning with soft cloths.
Customization is the word that gets talked about a lot. That is a huge benefit to coming to Country Comfort Bedrooms is that you can customize your selection of pieces and accents. One of the examples Laurie spoke about was bringing in your current fabric swatches, your flooring choices or your paint. Laurie can work with you to coordinate your finishes on your furniture to enhance the colors you already have.
