Farmers Market

If it’s fresh locally grown products that you desire, then the Prince Albert Farmer’s Market is the place to visit.

Vendors at the Farmers Market strive to provide customers with fresh locally grown produce and products that visitors to the Farmers Market will not be disappointed by due to the selection that is made available to them. On a full swing market day they can expect to find everything from fresh vegetables, fruits, meats and poultry, eggs, honey, jams, preserves, home made baking, essential oils and variety of locally made jewelry, arts and crafts and other home based business products.

The market, which currently showcases approximately 40 different vendors, operates twice a week every Wednesday and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. in downtown Prince Albert.

After Thanksgiving weekend the market will move to its new indoor location in the Gateway Mall. The market will continue to operate in the Gateway Mall each Saturday from Oct. 31 to Dec. 19. The Market hours will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The 2016 season for the market will then begin again on the May long weekend.

2015 marks the 40th anniversary for the Prince Albert Farmer’s Market. Gill said it is an awesome accomplishment to know that the market has been around for so long in Prince Albert.

“Forty years later it’s as strong as it has ever been and it still gets tons of support from the community who continue to come and buy fresh produce,” he said.

“We thank the people for visiting us and supporting us and hopefully we are around for many more years to come.”

Any new vendors that wish to join the Farmer’s Market can send an email to [email protected] to request an application form.

The 2015 summer market will end officially on Saturday October 10 with the winter market to follow until late December.
