When hiring a photographer it is also important to find a professional whose style and technique you enjoy. Gobeil said there is a consistent way that every photographer edits and treats their portraits and clients can usually get a good idea of a photographer’s technique by looking through their portfolio. Gobeil describes her photography as clean, modern and feminine.

“I do not do stiff super posed, formal images my work is soft and feminine,” said Gobeil.

“All my clients will receive a pre-session consult where we can chat about the session clearly outlining what the customer is hoping to achieve through their portrait session. We’ll talk about your personal style, potential session themes, your family, what to wear, look at products, and just generally get to know each other a bit.   I plan the client session based around them and the goal is to create heirloom quality portraits that will stand the test of time.”

Gobeil encourages her clients to hold on to their memories.

“I encourage clients to actually print their memories so that we do not lose them forever to technology,” said Gobeil. “I love when people post my work to Facebook but what I really love is when they invest in an album or a wall canvas that they will walk by and love everyday.”

Gobeil does a lot of on location sessions, however she does also have a studio space that makes it convenient to photograph her clients all year long in comfort. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in photography and the experience and reputation to back it up.
