Owner Debbi Kellett said her and her staff take pride in their customer service skills and try their best to make sure each customer that enters the store leaves with a smile. She said she hopes it was their devotion to customer service that influenced BOBS voters to nominate Frontrunner Footwear in both categories.

“We try everyday to make sure every customer that walks through that door feels appreciated, we know that they have choices and they can go anywhere,” she said.

“We try to remember every time that door opens that, that person is doing us a favour by coming here,” she added.

Kellett comes from a strong business background and attributes her success as a store owner to being raised in a family business. She says that her father is a great mentor for her and taught her the importance of providing good customer service.

“Through training I’ve learned there is no bad employee, only bad trainers. I take it upon myself to ensure I provide the skills my employee’s need to be successful,” said Kellett.

Kellett Also believes that having long-term staff helps her business to run successfully. She said that is important that she is able to provide customers with staff that recognize them and know how to cater to their individual needs whether it be needing a heel to match an outfit or a shoe that will fit their orthotics. The staff at Frontrunner, are knowledgeable and are often given the opportunity to provide their input on what styles they should carry for the upcoming year. Frontrunner Footwear strives to provide their customers with the newest styles and trends in footwear while maintaining a small town customer service feel.
