Bowbenders sending their best to worlds

There are only six Canadian junior athletes that qualified for the 2018 World Archery Indoor Championships in Yankton, South Dakota Feb. 14-19, and two of them shoot out of the Timberland Bowbenders Archery Club in Prince Albert.

Wakaw mayor declares ‘Vey Day’ to honour its hockey Olympian

When the Canadian Olympic Men’s Hockey Team was announced on Jan. 11, only one player hailing from the province of Saskatchewan was included.

That of course is Wakaw’s own Linden Vey, and his small town of 1,000 people are making sure he knows how proud they are.

Raiders fall to relentless Rebels in OT; Regan returns

The Prince Albert Raiders had the lead on three separate occasions, but couldn’t put away the Red Deer Rebels Tuesday at the Art Hauser Centre. The Rebels tied the game all three times, eventually winning in overtime 4-3.
