'The Schlenker Show' to hit the NHL

Chris Schlenker has made it to the National Hockey League.

The former Raider defenceman rose quickly through the officiating ranks and is likely to get his first NHL assignment this season following a training camp in Buffalo that begins on Sept 10.

Triathletes to descend on Waskesiu Sunday

Waskesiu will become the triathlon capital of Western Canada this weekend.

About 300 particpants will challenge the water, cycle and run courses in Waskesiu on Sunday in the 35th annual Frank Dunn Toyota triathlon. The field includes about 130 individual racers and 50 teams.

Broncos name Viveiros new head coach in Swift Current

A member of the 1985 Memorial Cup champion Prince Albert Raiders is coming back to the Western Hockey League.

Emanuel Viveiros is the new head coach and director of player personnel for the Swift Current Broncos.
