Roughriders hold private memorial for Joe McKnight

While Joe McKnight’s funeral was being held in Louisiana, a small private ceremony was also happening in Regina.

Roughrider players, coaches and staff gathered in the Green and White Lounge Monday morning to remember McKnight.

Roughriders Chris Jones looking for ‘middle ground’ in Durant contract talks

There are two sides to every contract negotiation, and on Monday the Roughriders presented theirs.

On Sunday, Darian Durant said his talks with the team were pretty much at a standstill after he and his agent presented what he called a reasonable offer to management.

The final game of the 2016 Roughriders season was a tough sell from the beginning.

The Riders had no meaningful football left to play, having been eliminated from the playoff hunt weeks earlier and the team’s star quarterback Darian Durant didn’t even make the trip.
