Military works last shift as Sask. evacuees return home

The province is nearly finished helping northern Saskatchewan evacuees back home as the military gets set to do the same.

There are still evacuation orders in effect for Hall Lake and Clam Lake Bridge.  Approximately 2,862 evacuees are still getting social assistance.

Sask. fires merge near La Ronge, become 5.5 times size of Saskatoon

The Egg fire has merged with the Eli fire making it 950 square kilometres or five and a half times the size of Saskatoon.

The fire, which will be known as the Egg fire, is within two kilometres of La Ronge.
