Mark McNeill, Harrison Ruopp, Jonathan Parker, Brandon Herrod and Antoine Corbin are all set to attend NHL camps this off-season.

Raiders centre Mark McNeill is headed to the Chicago Blackhawks Prospect Camp that will take place from July 7-11. McNeill was the Blackhawks 1st round, 18th overall pick at this years’ NHL Entry Draft and is one of 46 prospects who was invited to attend the camp.

Defenceman Harrison Ruopp will be attending the Phoenix Coyotes Prospect Development Camp from July 7-10 at Polar Ice in Peoria, Arizona. Ruopp was the Coyotes 3rd round, 83rd overall pick in this years’ NHL Entry Draft and is one of only 28 players who will be attendance.

20-year-old Jonathan Parker is at the Buffalo Sabres Development Camps which began yesterday. He was one of nine invitees to make up the 42 man roster in attendance. Parker led the Raiders and finished 13th in the league in scoring with 45 goals and 41 assists for 86 points in 71 games. He also signed an amateur tryout agreement on April 8th with the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL.

Fellow 20-year-old Brandon Herrod has been invited to the Phoenix Coyotes’ Camp on September 9th. Herrod went undrafted in the NHL’s 2010 Entry Draft despite being ranked 137th overall by Central Scouting’s final report prior to the 2010 Draft. Herrod was named the Raiders playoff MVP with one goal and five assists in six games against the Saskatoon Blades.

Defenceman Antoine Corbin has been invited to the San Jose Shark’s Camp that starts on September 8th. Corbin was acquired from the Kelowna Rockets on November 18th in exchange for the Raiders 3rd round selection in the 2012 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft. He was the Raiders highest scoring defenceman with 8 goals and 21 assists for 29 points in 56 games, 25 of which he notched in 45 games with the Raiders.

“We are extremely proud of the players that were invited to participate in NHL camps,” said Raiders head coach and general manager Bruno Campese. “Having five players attend NHL camps, all of whom are eligible to return next year, is exciting for our organization.”
