Boundary dike breaches at Roche Percee

Jun 19, 2011 | 4:26 PM

The small southeast village of Roche Percee has seen dozens of homes evacuated after water punched through the town's protective dike.

The Boundary dike breached on Sunday. Road blocks have been set up outside the town to keep vehicles out.

Water lies on either side of the road, flowing north to south across the road surface very quickly.

A metal bridge that leads to the rest of the town has also been overtaken by water.

Most of the residents were evacuated yesterday.
