World Refugee Day was celebrated in Prince Albert Wednesday. About 50 people came out for the event, at the former Wesley United Church in downtown Prince Albert.

The event was organized by the YWCA Settlement Services program to help raise awareness about the plight of refugees in Canada. The event included traditional foods, music and jewelry from countries including Pakistan, Syria, the Congo and Sudan.
