Saskatoon’s Liam Courtney stole the show twice on Tuesday to win the 2018 Men’s Lobstick Open.

Courtney shot a 66 to jump up to the joint lead with fellow Saskatoon golfer Roman Timmerman at -3. That forced a playoff, which Courtney was able to win and crowned the Open winner.

Prince Albert’s Ryan Wells led after the first day with a 68, but followed that up with a 73 on Tuesday for a four-way tie for third with fellow P.A. product Ashley Ziegeman, as well as Yorkton’s Kade Johson and Kevin Elder.

The Lobstick will continue throughout the week, with a champion being crowned on Saturday.
