An old school in Prince Albert will undergo some changes this summer.

St Joseph School, located on 22nd St. E., will undergo a renovation and partial removal over the coming months. The building was first constructed in 1952, and an addition was built 20 years later.

“A portion of the facility has reached the point where it would be cost prohibitive to maintain it,” the Prince Albert Catholic School Division said in a statement.

According to the school division, the west side of the building will be removed. The smaller part of the building has been used for a variety of purposes, in recent years, including cold storage.
