Police arrest man in connection with stolen vehicle investigation

A Prince Albert man was arrested yesterday after police located a stolen vehicle.

On June 4, police responded to a complaint after a vehicle owner discovered their black car was stolen from their driveway on 18 Street West.

At around 4 p.m. the next day, June 5, officers attended a disturbance call at Fourth Ave. and 11th Street E. While the call was for two vehicles travelling at high speeds, investigators noticed one of the vehicles was the stolen black car.

Police said the driver of the stolen vehicle attempted to flee the scene, but was found in a nearby house where he was arrested.

The driver, 28-year-old Dallas McLeod, is charged with possession of stolen property not exceeding $5,000. He was scheduled appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court today, and is presumed innocent at this stage.
