May 18, 2018 | 10:00 AM

RCMP arrested a Prince Albert woman for driving 150 km/h on the highway near Rosthern while she was impaired.

Members of the Prince Albert Combined Traffic Services unit stopped the woman on Highway 11 north of Rosthern May 12 shortly before 11 p.m. The 33-year-old driver, a woman from Prince Albert, was arrested for driving with a blood-alcohol level over .08 after she failed a roadside test. RCMP said the woman was taken to the detachment to provide additional samples for screening, and she was released pending a court appearance July 11. She is presumed innocent at this stage.

With the May Long Weekend approaching, the RCMP said more travelers will be on the roads. Police will be out in force, the RCMP said, looking for those who drink and drive.
