A Prince Albert woman has finished ninth overall for Maxim’s Finest Australia modelling competition.
Sophie Stanowich who has dual Canadian and Australian citizenship was one of 1,000 of women initially selected for the online contest. Stanowich who has aspirations of being a model and actress, posted a message on her Facebook wall thanking everyone for supporting her on her journey to the top 10.
Stanowich has now moved on to another contest closer to home. She made the initial cut for the Maxim Cover Girl Canada contest. The first phase of online voting was launched Tuesday. There are 31 groups of women and the top 30 from each group advance to the next round. Stanowich was randomly placed in group nine.
