Grass fire season heating up

The Prince Albert Fire Department responded to a pair of grass fires Friday night.
 
The first call was received around 6:30p.m. The crews were dispatched to the 2300 blk. of second Ave. W.  They had received a report of a grass fire that spread to a fence on the alley property. Fire crews extinguished the fire however the fence sustained fire damage.
 
The second call was received around 11:15 pm.  This time crews were called to the 800 blk. of 16th St. W. On arrival a small area of grass along the railway tracks had been set on fire. The fire was extinguished and there was no property damage to report.
