Anderson and Team Canada take on the world

Apr 27, 2018 | 12:00 PM

Sherry Anderson and Team Canada have advanced to the semifinals at the World Senior Curling championships in Ostersund, Sweden.

Team Canada beat Finland 10-6 in Friday’s game and will play Switzerland on Saturday morning at 1 a.m. local time. While the bracket schedule reads Canada should be playing the U.S.A, Canada was bumped to a different bracket as the World Curling Federation restricts two teams from the same pool playing each other.

The Canadian men’s team from Alberta (Wade White) also advanced to the semi-finals after beating Norway 6-5 Friday afternoon. They will play Scotland on Saturday.
