Crusaders girls win regionals before hosting Hoopla

The Carlton Crusaders senior girls basketball team won the 5A Girls Regionals in Weyburn. They defeated North Battleford Comprehensive 83-49 in the finals, and both teams will advance to Hoopla this week at Carlton March 22-24.

The Crusaders girls are the only Prince Albert team in 5A that will advance to Hoopla. The St. Mary Marauders senior girls fell one win short, losing to North Battleford 65-40 in the semifinals.

On the boys side the Crusaders beat the Marauders 74-52 in the consolation side to wrap up both teams’ seasons in Warman.
