Mintos goin’ to the ship

The Prince Albert Mintos are headed to the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League finals.

They swept the Regina Pat Canadians after a clutch 2-1 victory on Wednesday in Regina.

The Mintos got goals from Kyrell Sopotyk (his playoff leading ninth marker) and Austin Lamotte in the victory. Mintos goaltender Carter Woodside made 24 saves for the victory.

The Mintos will wait for the Notre Dame Hounds, Swift Current Legionnaires series to conclude to see who they’ll face in the finals. The first place Hounds could sweep the Legionnaires with a victory on Thursday.
