Warrant issued for accused violent offender

A man who was charged in connection to a violent home invasion, and then taunted RCMP through social media, is on the run again.

Danny Daniels, 28, from Sturgeon Lake, did not show up for his scheduled court appearance Monday, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Despite missing his court appearance, Daniels appeared to be active on social media. He critiqued paNOW‘s previous story on the assault saying the facts were ‘twisted’. He also wrote in a Facebook post that the police ‘can’t catch us’.

Daniels was one of three people charged after an incident Jan. 19 at a rural residence northwest of Prince Albert. An 82-year-old woman was assaulted in her home before thieves stole her car.

Co-accused Jade Ermine, 27, and Silas Ermine, 39, also from Sturgeon Lake, are expected to make their next court appearances at the end of March.
