No injuries in early morning fire

Feb 23, 2018 | 8:03 AM

An investigator is expected on scene later today to determine the cause of a Friday morning fire in a mixed residential and commercial building in Prince Albert.

No one was injured during the incident in the 100 block of Ninth St. E., though the building was evacuated.

Fire crews responded at 4:45 a.m., and quickly extinguished the blaze.

“Upon arrival we had smoke coming out of the upper floor window,” Fire Battalion Chief Gerald Parks said. “Our crews entered the structure, got into the suite and knocked down the fire.”
