Former Prince Albert resident Sherry Anderson has a 1-1 record after the opening two days of the 2018 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Penticton, B.C.

Anderson, who was inducted into the Prince Albert Sports Hall of Fame in 2013, skipped Team Saskatchewan to an 8-4 victory over Kerry Galusha and the Northwest Territories 8-4 on Sunday. Anderson and her Saskatoon Nutana rink of Kourtney Fesser, Krista Fesser and Karlee Korchinski, broke a 4-4 tie in the ninth end with a clutch four-ender to put the game out of reach.

Anderson had a tougher start to the tournament, falling 12-5 to Jennifer Jones and Team Manitoba on Saturday.

On Monday, they’ll face the wildcard winners in Kerri Einarson from Manitoba at the 11 a.m., draw, before battling against Chelsea Duncan and the Yukon rink at 9 p.m.
