Mintos’ long undefeated streak ends on Thursday vs Trojans

The Prince Albert Mintos long undefeated streak ended on Thursday at 14 games. They fell to the Tisdale Trojans 3-1 at the Art Hauser Centre. The Mintos remain in second place in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League with a 27-5-2-1 record.

Their last loss in regulation came back on Dec. 2, a 5-2 defeat to the Regina Pat Canadians.

The Mintos got their lone goal from Kyrell Sopotyk. Colton Schell, Andrew Hawes and Rhett Frey all scored for the Trojans.

The Mintos will take on the Notre Dame Hounds, the top-ranked team in the SMAAAHL, on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Art Hauser Centre.
