Anwar group eager to do business at new downtown office

Jan 15, 2018 | 1:00 PM

From taxes to travel industry products and small business book keeping, staff with the Anwar Group International was eager to open the new office in Prince Albert Monday.

The tax office recently expanded to the city from Saskatoon citing a number of clients commuting for service.

“We always have been [optimistic] and we are hoping for the best in the future,” owner Naveed Anwar said.

The new office is located on Central Ave., something that was key for Anwar.

“One of the reason is we like to be in downtown and have the old architecture and be in touch with the original values of the city,” he said.

Mayor Greg Dionne welcomed the new office, saying it was “another exciting day for P.A.”

“I believe small business is the back bone of our community,” he said. “It is also another niche in the market we need. We lost a few accounting offices and tax offices recently.”

Dionne was also glad to see the business open downtown, saying it “shows that Central Ave. is the place to be.”
