The Melfort RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating suspects from a robbery in Kinistino.

On Thursday, Dec. 14 at 11 p.m. a man was robbed by three people at the corner of Saskatchewan Cres. and Main St.

In a media release, the RCMP said the man was approached by two other men who were in a light coloured mini van driven by a “heavy set” woman. The men were armed with a large knife in the shape of a “short samurai” sword. The men demanded the victim give them his bag which he did.

The suspects fled towards Dixon Ave. before the victim lost sight of the vehicle.

The driver is described as an Indigenous woman with long dark hair. The second suspect is described as a tall, slender Indigenous man wearing ball cap, hoodie, dark sunglasses, and carrying the knife. The third suspect is a very tall, slender Indigenous man.

The mini-van is possibly beige or tan, and dirty. The license plate was covered by snow.

The stolen property includes a white and blue uniform worn by the Kinistino School basketball team, white Air Jordan shoes with black soles, and an Adidas gym bag.

If you have any information regarding this incident call the Melfort RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
