XFM smashes hunger with 4th annual Ballbreaker

Dec 12, 2017 | 11:00 AM

One of the food bank’s most important fundraisers for the holiday season is just around the corner.

The fourth annual XFM Ballbreaker is set to run tomorrow at the Lake Country Co-op in Cornerstone. Donations of cash and non-perishable food items, given to the Prince Albert Food Bank, allow participants to smash Christmas ornaments to win prizes. A booth will be set up between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Wes Clark, from the food bank, said any and all donations are appreciated.

“Bulk items are definitely the thing that go the furthest simply because we can break it down and portion it out, and it spreads out a lot further,” Clark said. “That being said, [donations] can be anything. Pasta, rice, soups, all of those types of things [are welcome].”
