Dramatic rescue after truck takes swim near Melfort

Two people are safe thanks to a heroic effort near Melfort Sunday night.

Around 7:20 p.m. a truck went off Highway 3 and ended up in a slough upside-down.

According to Melfort Fire and Rescue, the people in the truck were rescued by another motorist who smashed out a side window.  

The people in the truck were treated by Melfort EMS.
