Saskatchewan Cancer Agency votes in favour of job action

May 27, 2011 | 11:32 AM

The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency has voted in favour of what they're calling “job action.”

News Talk Radio has obtained an e-mail sent to unionized employees informing them that members voted this week 86 per cent in favour.

Members belong to the Saskatchewan Government and General Employees' Union (SGEU), which is required to give 48-hours notice for a strike.

Some union members may not legally be able to walk off the job due to essential services legislation.
