Police dog Feebee catches car thieves

Police dog Feebee was on the track again, this time catching car thieves.

Early this morning, officers spotted a car at a gas station matching a vehicle police were searching for. When patrol pulled up, the vehicle’s driver sped-off onto Second Ave. W in the wrong lane, into oncoming traffic. 

Officers pursued the car until it attempted to turn onto 13th St. W. when it lost control and hit a house. Three men and one woman fled the vehicle.

Const. Mike Chow and police dog Febee were put on the track. One man was arrested at the scene,  and two other men were captured by officers within a block of the scene. All three were arrested without incident, but the woman was never found. 

A 26-year-old man from Sturgeon Lake First Nation is charged with multiple offences including possession of property not exceeding $5,000, and operating a motor vehicle while pursued by a peace officer attempting to evade and failing to stop.

A 25-year-old man from Prince Albert is charged with possession of property not exceeding $5,000.

A 35-year-old man from Prince Albert is charged with multiple offences including possession of property a motor vehicle not exceeding $5,000, and without lawful excuse carrying or transporting ammunition for a 12 gauge shotgun in a careless manner.
