Bears stay perfect on the year, beat Wildcats

The Prince Albert Northern Bears kept their undefeated streak alive to start their Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League season.

They beat the Swift Current Wildcats 3-2 Saturday afternoon at the Art Hauser Centre to improve to 3-0 after a two-game sweep over the Battlefords Sharks last week.

Jasper Desmarais was the Bears’ player of the game with a goal and an assist. Kassidy Kicia scored the game winning goal for the Bears in the third period. Kate Ball also had a marker.

The Wildcats and Bears will have a rematch on Sunday, 1:30 p.m. at the Art Hauser Centre.
