A simple traffic stop led to multiple arrests and charges for members of the Melfort RCMP.

On Oct. 8, Mounties stopped a 23-year-old Melfort man who was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

The man's vehicle was searched and officers found several bags of methamphetamine and marijuana on the man.

The passenger was also arrested.

Both Jesse Guest of Melfort and Brandon Fulmes of Pleasantdale are charged with possession for the purchase of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking methamphetamine, and possession of property obtained by crime.

Fulmes was also charged with possessing cocaine.

Both men are scheduled to appear in Melfort Provincial Court on Oct. 10.

As a result of the stop, police prepared and executed a search warrant of Fulmes' house. Investigators with the assistance of the Prince Albert Police Service found a small marijuana grow-operation. Twelve plants were seized. Carol Fulmes, 57, of Pleasantdale was arrested and charged with production of a controlled substance.

She was released and will appear in court on Nov. 14.
